Creating titles with DVDit! is a snap:
1) Import multimedia content - You'll start by importing your edited AVI and Quicktime video and audio files, image files, and other multimedia.
2) Build interactive menus - Next, you import backgrounds and buttons, text and effects, to create great-looking DVD menus.
3) Link menus and content - Now you can link your video and audio content to create interactive presentations, training applications or virtually any other interactive video content you can think of.
4) And DVDit! - When you're finished, DVDit! automatically converts your video sources into the correct formats, and records your content directly to DVD-R or CD-R.
Multimedia Import Features:
MPEG-2 and MPEG-1 Video - DVDit! can directly import MPEG-2 or MPEG-1 files in either "elementary" or "program" stream format. Generally these are encoded by a 3rd party application or encoder board.
AVI and QuickTime Import - Most non-linear editing applications generate AVI or QuickTime video files. DVDit! can use these files directly (without conversion to MPEG) in the DVD authoring process - our software simply converts them to the correct format during the writing process.
WAV and MPEG-1 Audio Import - WAV audio is uncompressed "CD-quality" digital audio, commonly used and generated by PC audio applications. DVDit! also accepts MPEG-1 Layer II files (commonly known as .mpa files).
Dolby Digital Import - Dolby Digital stereo is supported in DVDit! PE only. You can import .ac3 files, so long as they are in stereo format.
Photoshop File Import - create buttons on individual layers with Photoshop and then import the photoshop file into DVDit! Each layer appears as a separate button in the Palette window.
File Conversion and Encoding
AVI and QuickTime Trancoding to MPEG - DVDit! automatically converts AVI and QuickTime files into MPEG-1 or MPEG-2 when it creates the DVD. You can specify transcoding settings like bit-rate, or let DVDit! handle all the details.
Dolby Digital Stereo Encoding - Dolby Digital files are compressed and save space on your DVD, without compromising audio quality. DVDit! can convert your audio to Dolby Digital stereo, allowing you to reserve more space for your video. The result - better looking video and cinema-quality audio.
Audio Sampling Rate Conversion - Note that although DVDs require 48kHz audio, DVDit! will convert 44.1kHz audio files to 48kHz during the writing process. This means that DVDit! does all the hard work for you.
DVD Authoring Features
# of Menus /# of Buttons per menu - All versions of DVDit! support thousands of multiple menus, and each menu can hold up to 36 buttons. So now DVDit! is great for creating photo albums, image libraries and applications with large numbers of multimedia clips.
Chapter Points - Chapter points allow instant jump to predefined points within a video clip. DVDit! makes it easy to add and move chapter points to mark where important scenes and segments begin. In addition, the video frame at any chapter point can be easily added to any menu as a button thumbnail.
Chapter point thumbnails - By "dragging" any chapter point from the video timeline onto a menu, DVDit! will instantly create an automatically linked button to that chapter point with a thumbnail of the video frame at the chapter point. No annoying windows to open and close - just quick, instant, creative control.
Add ROM data to disc - DVDit! allows you to add additional content to your DVD or cDVD. You could include Powerpoint presentations, pdf documents - almost any PC or Mac format file - to enrich every PC-user's DVD experience.
Timed Menus - Menus can be set to "time out", and move on to another specific action. This makes DVDit! ideal for kiosk and demonstration applications where the presentation will continue unattended but viewers can easily take control.
Audio Menus - Add an audio backing track to your menus to keep your audience entertained while they decide on what buttons to push!
Set Movie and Menu navigation properties - DVDit!'s unique "properties" windows allow you to precisely determine how your disc will navigate. Customize the function of buttons on the remote control, set "end actions" for movies and menus that take you to specific areas of the disc - you can even set up fully automated menus that play without user interaction.
Object color adjustment and drop shadow effects - you can customize menus, buttons and text by adjusting color properties and adding drop shadows.
Link Clips To Text - DVDit! is the only low-priced DVD authoring application that let's you link media to text in a menu.

Output Properties
Output to CD-R/RW - With the high-cost of writeable DVD devices and media (DVD-R), many DVDit! users choose to produce cDVDs, CDs with DVD-Video content. All editions of DVDit! support output to CD-R as a standard feature. Visit the cDVD section of the Sonic website for more information.
Output to DVD-R -- DVD-R is a recordable DVD format that plays back in set-top DVD players and DVD-ROM drives. For full DVD-impact write your projects to DVD-R for over two hours of broadcast-quality video and audio.
Output to DLT - DLT stands for Digital Linear Tape, and is the mastering format used by DVD replicators worldwide. DVDit! PE supports this feature and allows you to get your DVD published for a mass-market audience.
Output to hard disk - If you don't have a CD-R, DVD-R or DLT attached to your system, you can write your DVD project to the hard disk. DVDit! allows you to write that disc image to any optical output media at any later stage.

Aber sonst nimmt es nicht viel. Habe öfters Ärger mit files, die ich durch eine DV 500 erzeugt habe, sowie auch bei manchen aufgearbeiteten DVB-streams. (Woanders laufen die bestens) Bringt dann immer die Meldung "DTS greater than PTS" und aus die Maus.
Scheint irgendeine Laune zu sein, denn manchmal werden die auf die gleiche Art erzeugten files anstandslos verarbeitet. |

Na ja .. war eines der ersten halbwegs vernünftigen Authorprogis. Hab es ganz vergessen gehabt - kaum benutzt weil es den Ton auf PCM aufbläht und damit wahnsinnig viel Platz verbrät. Kann man in der Pfeife rauche

aum benutzt weil es den Ton auf PCM aufbläht und damit wahnsinnig viel Platz verbrät
schiss,dann teste ich es netmal an..weil pcm ton ist eigentlich voll übertrieben.
obwohl ich mit meinem sony 530 ne cd erworben hab wos drauf war.liegt jetzt aber im mülleimer da unschöner kratzer..
irgend einen haken gibts immer..

Naja macht schon Dolby Digital 2.0. Und das bevor PT 2.0 oder Encore o. ä. da waren; allerdings nur in der PE-Version. Deshalb habe ich es auch ne ganze Zeit genutzt.
Wenn ich es aber damals bei Ebay nicht so günstig erhalten hätte, wäre mir das allerdings auch nicht auf den Rechner gekommen. |
